International Year One เป็นหลักสูตรปรับพื้นฐานก่อนการเข้าเรียนในระดับปริญญาตรีที่ประเทศอังกฤษ ซึ่งจะมีเพียงบางสถาบันที่เปิดสอนและบางมหาวิทยาลัยที่รับเช่นกัน แต่หลักสูตรนี้เป็นหลักสูตรที่น้อง ๆ หลายคนให้ความสนใจ เพราะ ประหยัดเวลาการเรียนปริญญาตรีไปได้ 1 ปี และ ยังประหยัดเงินไปได้ประมาณ 1 ล้านบาทเลยทีเดียว หลักสูตร International Year One ดียังไง มาอ่านต่อกันเลย 

หลักสูตร International Year One คืออะไร 

International Year One (IYO) เป็นหลักสูตรปรับพื้นฐานก่อนการเข้าเรียนในระดับปริญญาตรี ใช้เวลาเรียน 9 เดือน เหมือนกับ International Foundation Year แต่จะเปิดสอนโดยสถาบันเอกชนที่ทำงานร่วมกับบางมหาวิทยาลัยและบางหลักสูตรเท่านั้น หลักสูตรนี้จะรับเฉพาะนักเรียนที่จบมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ด้วยเกรดเฉลี่ยที่เกิน 3.0 หรือ นักเรียนที่จบปริญญาตรีปีที่ 1 แล้วเท่านั้น การเรียนหลักสูตร International Year One จะเป็นการเรียนเทียบเท่าการเรียนปริญญาตรีปีที่ 1 ของที่ประเทศอังกฤษ และหลังจากที่นักเรียนผ่านหลักสูตรนี้แล้ว จะสามารถขึ้นปริญญาตรีปีที่ 2 ได้เลย เท่ากับว่าน้อง ๆ จะใช้เวลาเรียนปริญญาตรีที่ประเทศอังกฤษเพียง 3 ปีจบ 

หลักสูตร International Year One เปิดสอนที่ไหน และ เปิดหลักสูตรไหนบ้าง

1. Kaplan International Pathways 

เป็นสถาบันเอกชนที่ทำงานร่วมกับ 16 มหาวิทยาลัยในประเทศอังกฤษ มีเปิดสอนตั้งแต่ระดับ International Foundation Year, International Year One, Pre-Master, Pre-Doctorate และ หลักสูตรภาษาอังกฤษ สำหรับหลักสูตร International Year One จะเปิดสอนเพียง 6 มหาวิทยาลัยเท่านั้น ได้แก่ 

• Bournemouth University 
• Nottingham Trent University 
• University of Birmingham (Russell Group) 
• University of Brighton 
• University of Essex 
• University of the West of England (UWE Bristol)
• University of Westminster (London)  

หลักสูตรนี้จะเปิดสอน 2 รอบ คือ มกราคม และ กันยายน ของทุกปี 

หลักสูตร International Year One ของแต่ละมหาวิทยาลัยที่เปิดสอน มีดังนี้ 

• International Year One Progression to University of Birmingham – Engineering (เรียนหลักสูตร International Year One ที่ Kaplan International College London Campus) 
• International Year One Progression to Bournemouth University – Business, Media and Communication และ Tourism and Hospitality 
• International Year One Progression to Nottingham Trent University – Business และ Computing  
• International Year One Progression to University of Brighton – Architecture, Business และ Hospitality and Tourism  
• International Year One Progression to University of Essex – Business, Economics, Computing, Law, Life Sciences, Politics and International Relations และ Psychology 
• International Year One Progression to University of Westminster – Business และ Computing 
• International Year One Progression to University of UWE Bristol – Business, Computing และ Engineering  

2. International Study Centre (ISC) by Study Group  

เป็นสถาบันเอกชนที่ทำงานร่วมกับ 15 มหาวิทยาลัยในประเทศอังกฤษ เปิดสอนตั้งแต่ระดับ International Foundation Year, International Year One และ Pre-Master สำหรับหลักสูตร International Year One จะเปิดสอนทั้งหมด 11 มหาวิทยาลัย คือ  

• Cardiff University 
• Kingston University London 
• Leeds Beckett University 
• Liverpool John Moores University 
• Royal Holloway University of London (RHUL) 
• Teesside University 
• University of Aberdeen 
• University of Huddersfield 
• University of Leeds 
• University of Sussex

• International Year One Progression to Leeds Beckett University – Business School, Sport Business Management และ Sport Marketing  
• International Year One Progression to Liverpool John Moores University – Business และ Engineering 
• International Year One Progression to Royal Holloway University of London – Business and Management, Computer Science, Economics, และ Electronic Engineering 
• International Year One Progression to Teesside University – Business และ Engineering and Computing

3. Oxford International Education Group (OIEG) 

เป็นสถาบันเอกชน 5 มหาวิทยาลัยของประเทศอังกฤษ คือ De Montfort University, Bangor University, University of Dundee, University of Greenwich และ University of Bradford สำหรับหลักสูตร International Year One นั้นจะมีเปิดสอนกับทั้ง 5 มหาวิทยาลัยข้างต้น ส่วนเกณฑ์การรับเข้าคือนักเรียนจะต้องจบมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ด้วยเกรดเฉลี่ยแค่ 2.5 และ ต้องการจะเข้าเรียนในระดับปริญญาตรีด้าน Business, Computing, Engineering หรือ Psychology  

นอกจากนั้น OIEG ยังร่วมมือกับ De Montfort University เปิดอีกหนึ่งหลักสูตรพิเศษสำหรับนักเรียนที่จบมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ด้วยเกรดเฉลี่ยเกิน 3.0 จะไม่ต้องเรียน International Year One แต่ จะเรียนเป็น International Second Year (ISY) ซึ่งหลักสูตรนี้จะรับเฉพาะนักเรียนที่ต้องการจะเรียนปริญญาตรีสาขา Business Management เท่านั้น เมื่อเรียน ISY ผ่านแล้ว น้อง ๆ จะขึ้นปริญญาตรีปีที่ 3 ได้ทันที เท่ากับว่าเรียนปริญญาตรีที่อังกฤษ 2 ปีจบเท่านั้นเอง 

4. INTO University Partnerships 

เป็นสถาบันเอกชนที่ทำงานร่วมมือกับอีก 8 มหาวิทยาลัยในประเทศอังกฤษ คือ City University of London, University of East Anglia, University of Exeter, University of Manchester, Newcastle University, Manchester Metropolitan University, Queen’s University Belfast, และ University of Stirling รวมถึง INTO London และ INTO NCUK 

หลักสูตร International Year One ของแต่ละมหาวิทยาลัยที่เปิดสอนมีดังนี้ 

• International Year One Progression to University of Exeter – Accounting and Finance, Biosciences, Engineering, Management and Business Economics, Mathematics with Business, และ Psychology 
• International Year One Progression to University of East Anglia – Biological Sciences, Business Management and Economics, International Development with Media, Psychology, และ Media, Film &TV Production 
•  International Year One Progression to Newcastle University – Architecture, Business, และ Engineering 
• International Year One Progression to Queen University Belfast – Accounting, Engineering, และ Management and Finance  
• International Year One Progression to Manchester Metropolitan University – Business, Accounting and Finance
