Hello! This is P’Mind from One Education. I recently had the opportunity to visit the University of Melbourne in Australia at the end of May, and I’ve brought back some campus highlights for anyone who is researching, planning to apply, or deciding whether to accept their offer from this university.

When it comes to universities in Australia, very few people are unfamiliar with the University of Melbourne. It is a prestigious and historic institution, founded in 1853, and a member of the Group of Eight, Australia’s leading research-intensive universities. The university is well known for its high-quality teaching, strong research output, and many of its programmes are ranked among the Top 10–Top 50 in the world.
Let’s take a look at some of its globally ranked subjects, this might give you ideas if you’re considering studying here. You can check the subject rankings of the University of Melbourne for more details.
The university’s popularity is reflected in the growing number of applications, which increased by over 19% compared to the previous year, with more than 134,000 applications received and over 68,000 offer letters issued for the 2024 intake. If you’re interested, don’t wait too long—the University of Melbourne operates on a first come, first served basis, so applying early is key.
For those interested in pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD at the University of Melbourne, you can contact P’Mind from One Education for more information and application support—free of charge from start to finish. You can also reach out directly via Line ID: 0927295660.
Another advantage of studying here is the convenient transportation. From the main Parkville Campus, it takes only 15–20 minutes to reach Melbourne CBD by car, bus, train, or tram—students can choose whichever is most convenient.
As for the campus atmosphere, it is incredibly green and peaceful, with plenty of trees. I visited at the end of May, which is the autumn season, just before winter, so the weather was cool and very pleasant.

The campus buildings are also very beautiful, featuring a mix of historic brick architecture that reflects classic design, alongside modern, contemporary buildings that showcase advanced technology used in teaching and learning. Even though some buildings look traditional on the outside, the facilities inside are highly modern. From interactive boards to online booking systems for seminar rooms, libraries, and meeting rooms, everything is designed to support a seamless and up-to-date learning experience.

For those interested in Fine Arts and Music, classes are held at the Southbank Campus, which is about 20 minutes away and easily accessible by car or tram. The buildings here are modern and well-organised into different zones, including music practice rooms, dance studios, and large performance spaces for student showcases.
Popular postgraduate programmes offered by the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music at Southbank include:
- Master of Contemporary Arts
- Master of Dance
- Master of Music Therapy
