The University of York has introduced a range of brand-new programs for students applying from 2026 onwards. These updated courses have been designed based on emerging global trends and the growing demand from employers in related industries. 

These new programs are not only more accessible and practical, but they also offer strong career prospects after graduation. Among the many new additions, We’d like to highlight two particularly exciting programs. 

1. MSc Leadership, Management and Artificial Intelligence

This brand-new MSc program is ideal for students who may not be math-focused but are still eager to learn about AI, or for those who want to study management and leadership while gaining valuable knowledge in Artificial Intelligence. The course is open to students from all academic backgrounds, even if you haven’t previously studied AI or computer science. 

In today’s rapidly evolving AI era, this program is designed to develop future-ready leaders — people who can understand, manage, and leverage AI to create positive change across industries. Students will explore: 

• The fundamentals of AI technologies
• Strategic management and organizational leadership
• The impact of AI on business models, operations, and the global workforce
• The social and ethical implications of AI in organizations
• The course also emphasizes practical learning, giving students opportunities to apply theory to real-world challenges, enhance decision-making, and gain hands-on experience in leadership, management, and strategic policy analysis.

2. MA Education with Leadership and Management

If you’re passionate about educational leadership and management, this new MA program from the University of York is made for you. With the growing number of international and alternative schools in Thailand, there’s an increasing need for innovative education leaders who are ready to drive meaningful change and elevate the quality of education to global standards — and this program is designed to do exactly that. 

Leadership is a key skill in any large organization, and this course aims to meet the global demand for skilled, forward-thinking educational leaders. It’s also a great fit for those interested in education policy. Students will explore different leadership models and education systems around the world while developing strategies that can be adapted and applied in their own contexts. 

This interdisciplinary program is jointly designed by the Department of Education and the School for Business and Society, combining the strengths of both faculties. As a result, students gain a well-rounded perspective from educational theory and policy, to organizational management and a deep understanding of the social context of education.
