Sheffield Hallam University
Sheffield Hallam is one of the UK’s largest universities (c. 30,000 students), located in the fifth most populous city in the UK. With approximately 60,000 students in Sheffield, everything is geared towards student life and it lives up to the reputation for being a fun and friendly city. The university is quite focused on providing courses that are applied to industry, offering 700 courses across the faculties with more than half of these including an optional integrated work placement with over 1,000 organisations including the BBC, Sony, NHS and Rolls-Royce.
The University is regarded as one of the best modern universities in the north of England, with over 90% of graduates in employment or further study within six months of graduation. The university has two campuses: City Campus is in the central area located near the Sheffield railway station while the Collegiate Campus is a 2 miles further out and surrounded by green space. Both spaces comprise of Grade-II listed buildings alongside more modern facilities.
