Flinders University
Flinders University was established in 1966, named after the English explorer Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the southern coastline of Australia in 1802. The university was officially opened on March 25, 1966, by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. Flinders University is located in Adelaide and now has three campuses: Bedford Park Campus, Tonsley Campus, and City Campus. Currently, Flinders University has a total enrollment of over 26,700 students, including about 5,300 international students from 90 countries worldwide. Flinders University ranks in the top 2% of universities globally according to THE World University Rankings 2023, and it is ranked No. 1 in South Australia for overall experience according to The Good Universities Guide 2023 (postgraduate, public SA-founded universities only).

Campuses
- Bedford Park Campus
Located just 12 km south of the Adelaide city center, Bedford Park is the main campus of Flinders University. It is a spacious site on an elevated area, providing panoramic views of the coastline and the city. The Student Hub offers study spaces 24/7 and access to all student services in one convenient location.
- Tonsley Campus
Flinders University’s Tonsley campus is an innovation hub, focusing on teaching and research in computer science, artificial intelligence, national security, autonomous vehicles, information technology, engineering, and mathematics. Tonsley is also near major businesses in Adelaide and globally recognized organizations such as BAE, SAGE, Siemens, ZEISS, SIMEC ZEN Energy, and Tesla. Additionally, it houses the Medical Device Research Institute (MDRI) and the Institute for Nanoscale Science & Technology. The Tonsley train station connects Bedford Park and Tonsley campuses, allowing students to access the CBD and city campus in about 20 minutes. There are also free buses for university staff and students to travel between campuses.
- City Campus
The City Campus is the first of its kind in the state, featuring all services and facilities within a modern 8-story building that promotes collaboration and enhances learning opportunities for students. Just 10 minutes from the university, you can reach Adelaide Central Market and Chinatown. The city campus is adjacent to the Adelaide train station and is immersed in the vibrant arts culture of the CBD. Adelaide ranks among the top 40 student cities in the world. Easy access to public transport allows students to explore the city center and beyond.
