Please tell us about yourself – what course and institute did you study before going to the UK?

My name is Minggreat, and I’m about to turn 25. I’m going to continue my studies at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom.

Why did you choose to study in the UK?

My older brother previously studied in the UK. At first, I was considering Australia, but studying there takes two years, while in the UK it only takes one year. So I felt that one year would save a lot of time and likely reduce costs as well.

Why did you choose this institute and what is your memorable experience at the institute?

Again, it was influenced by my brother, who studied at the University of Nottingham. He said that Nottingham is a great and safe university with everything you need. After doing my own research, I found that Nottingham suited me best. I also really liked their course syllabus compared to others.

Advice on getting a scholarship

I received a 25% tuition fee scholarship. It was an automatic scholarship, which I think was based on my grades and my SOP.

For those who are still studying, I’d recommend maintaining good grades as a strong foundation. When writing your SOP, give it your all, write honestly about your goals and future purpose. Be yourself, and make sure it reflects who you truly are. Do your best in everything you write.

How did you get to know One Education?
