Course: MSc Digital Marketing
Institution: Northumbria University
Please introduce yourself – what did you study before going to the UK?
Before coming to the UK, I studied International Business at Mahidol University International College (MUIC).
Why did you choose to study in the UK?
I wanted to pursue a Master’s degree in the UK because I had previously attended a short English course here and really enjoyed the learning environment. Also, Master’s programmes in the UK only take one year, which was ideal for me.
Why did you choose this university and what impressed you during your studies?
I chose to study at Northumbria University because it offers programmes in Digital Marketing, Nutritional Science, and Business Management. I came to study with two friends, and we wanted to attend the same university. I was particularly interested in Digital Marketing, and this university has a good reputation in this field, having offered a dedicated Master’s programme for several years.
After arriving, I was very impressed. People here are kind and very supportive of international students. There are also free additional English classes available, plenty of activities to join, and many opportunities to meet international friends and practise English every day.
Why did you choose this programme?
I chose Digital Marketing because nowadays people spend a lot of time on social media. Especially after COVID, businesses can no longer rely only on physical stores and need to focus more on online channels.
I felt that my knowledge in this area was not strong enough, so I decided to study this field.
How has this course helped your career after graduation?
This programme has helped me gain more specialised knowledge in Digital Marketing. The university also offers strong career support, including free CV and résumé reviews after graduation on a one-to-one basis.
What is impressive is that this support continues for up to five years after graduation, regardless of where you are in the world. You can still reach out for advice. The university clearly wants all students to succeed in their careers and achieve good salaries.
How did our service and team help you with your study abroad journey?
One Education helped me a lot throughout the entire process. There were three of us, each applying for different courses, and they helped find suitable universities and programmes for each of us. Whenever we wanted to speak with university representatives, they arranged appointments for us to ensure we fully understood what each course offered. They also took great care of all the application documents. If I forgot anything, I could just message them and they would help immediately.
Since the three of us wanted to stay together and safety was important, they also helped find suitable accommodation that matched our needs. The location was in the city, well-equipped, and very safe. They were very patient and supportive, giving advice like a close older sibling. I first contacted them while I was still in my third year at university, and they consistently followed up, suggested options, reminded me about GPA requirements, and even helped negotiate with universities.
Personally, I can be quite forgetful, but they were always patient, even when I asked the same questions repeatedly. I was truly impressed, and they still check in regularly to see how I am doing.
