Hello, my name is May. I graduated with a degree in Medicine from St. George’s University. I am currently working at a hospital in Phuket. I will be pursuing an MSc in Clinical Oncology at University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.

Why did you choose to study in the UK?
The UK is home to many well-established universities with strong global rankings. It also has leading cancer centres and well-known hospitals, which makes it an ideal place to study this field.

Why did you choose this university and what is your memorable experience at the university?
I have a strong interest in oncology and have always wanted to specialise in this area. I chose the University of Birmingham because of its strong ranking and its status as a member of the Russell Group.

Do you have any advice on applying for scholarships?
It is important to research available scholarships in advance and prepare a strong academic record. Gaining relevant work experience can also significantly improve your chances.

What advice would you give to students preparing to apply to study in the UK?
I would recommend preparing early by researching programmes, gaining experience, and organising all required documents. Reaching out to One Education for guidance is also very helpful.
