Please tell us about yourself – what course and institute did you study before going to the UK?
Hello, my name is Jan. For my undergraduate studies, I attended Assumption University, where I studied Communication Arts, majoring in Public Relations.

Why did you choose to study in the UK?
I chose to study in the UK because I had visited before and really liked the atmosphere and lifestyle. It feels well balanced, not too fast-paced and not too slow. I also felt that I would be able to adapt easily to the culture and people here. Compared to some larger countries, it doesn’t feel too overwhelming.

Why did you choose this university and what is your memorable experience at the university?
One of the main reasons I chose the University of Essex was because the course I was interested in stood out compared to other universities. It offers a wide range of interesting elective modules.

Another reason is the location, as it is convenient to travel to London.

Why did you choose this course?
I chose MA English and Linguistics because I have always been interested in languages and wanted to deepen my knowledge in this area.

How will your degree help your future career after graduation?
To be honest, I am still exploring my career path, as this Master’s degree is in a different field from my undergraduate studies. However, I believe that language skills can be applied to many different careers.

What did you like the most about our service and your counsellor?
I was very impressed with the One Education team. I changed my mind many times about whether to study abroad, but they was always patient and supportive, providing information and options that suited me.

At first, I was interested in studying hospitality, and they provided detailed options for that. Later, I decided to switch to language studies, and they continued to support me throughout.

They helped with everything, from choosing the university to arranging accommodation and handling my visa. They also kept me updated whenever there were emails from the university and reminded me about important steps. Whenever I didn’t understand something, I could always ask they.

When it came to the visa process, they provided a clear checklist of required documents and guidance on how to prepare in advance. Everything went smoothly, and I received my visa without any issues.

I’m truly grateful for all their support. For anyone who feels unsure about getting started, there’s no need to worry. The team is very kind, attentive, and supportive throughout the entire process.
