Course: Master of Laws
Institution: University of Technology Sydney (UTS)
Please tell us about yourself – what course and institute did you study before going to Australia?
Before going to Australia, I graduated with a degree in Law from Thammasat University.
Why did you choose to study in Australia?
Australia is not far from Thailand, has a pleasant climate, and offers many interesting places to visit. There is also a large Thai community there, which made me feel more at ease.
Why did you choose this institute and what is your memorable experience at the institute?
I chose the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) because of its highly diverse student community. I had the opportunity to meet friends from many different cultural backgrounds, and during class discussions, we were able to share and explore a wide range of perspectives.
Why did you choose this course?
The Master of Laws programme offers a wide range of specialisations to choose from. Even if you prefer a general pathway, there are still many subjects available. Each subject focuses heavily on discussion. Lecturers provide reading materials in advance, which allows students to prepare and analyse the content before attending classes.
How will your degree help your future career after graduation?
One of the most noticeable improvements is my English, particularly academic English, which has become much more fluent. This is very important for advancing in the legal profession. Being able to use English effectively opens up many more opportunities.
Academically, the subjects I studied focus on applying legal principles to current global situations, allowing me to gain new knowledge from a legal perspective.
What did you like the most about our service and your counsellor?
P’Sa from One Education provided support from the very beginning, even before I decided where to study. She helped gather information, communicated with the university, and assisted in securing discounts from the university.
She handled almost everything. I only needed to prepare my personal documents. She also supported me with the visa process. Even after I arrived in Australia, she continued to check in and give advice on various matters. I am very grateful for all her help.
