What will you study in Film & Television Studies? 

Students in the Film & Television Studies program will study the processes of film and television production, as well as the creative aspects of mass media communication. Students often engage in independent work and practical projects ranging from small-scale productions, such as creating short videos for social media, to larger-scale projects, including full-length films or television programmes. And the entire process is covering from finding inspiration, writing scripts, directing and shooting, editing, incorporating music and sound effects. 

What skills will you acquire from studying Film & Television Studies 

Skills in film and television production Students will learn various skills related to the film and television production process, starting from the initial phase known as Pre-Production. This includes planning, scriptwriting, casting, location scouting, and then moving on to the Production phase, which involves using cameras, adjusting lighting, recording sound and executing the actual shooting. Finally, students will delve into the Post-Production phase, which involves tasks like editing, using special effects, and color grading. 

Skills in technology The program also emphasizes the use of technology in film and television production, as the industry heavily relies on modern tools and equipment. Students will acquire skills in using high-quality cameras, sound systems, video editing software and other relevant technologies used in the production process. 

Skills in writing and presenting Especially in scriptwriting for both film and television, are crucial for creating engaging and impactful stories that effectively communicating ideas to the intended audience. 

Skills in creativity is also an essential skill for those involved in the film and television industry, as it requires imagination and systematic thinking to construct creative ideas and turn them into compelling works. 

Skills in teamworking Collaboration and teamwork highly valued in the film and television industry. Students will learn the skills necessary to work effectively in teams, including communication, problem-solving, and working in complex situations.
