If you are planning to study in Australia in 2027 and are considering Deakin University, there are several scholarships available for international students. These range from 20%–100% tuition fee reductions to financial support specifically for students from Southeast Asia.

1. Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship
Scholarship value: 100% or 50% tuition fee reduction, depending on the selection outcome
Study level: Undergraduate or postgraduate
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to international students applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate program at Deakin University and commencing their studies in 2027.
- Applicants must have a strong academic record.
- Applicants must participate in the university’s Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program (VCPEP).
- Applicants must complete a scholarship application.
- Submit a 300-word Personal Statement.
- Provide two references addressing the applicant’s Community Involvement and/or Leadership.
- Shortlisted scholarship applicants may be required to attend an interview with the university.
2. Deakin International Scholarship for Excellence
Scholarship value: 25% tuition fee reduction
Study level: Undergraduate or postgraduate
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to international students applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate program at Deakin University and commencing their studies in 2027.
- Applicants must have a strong academic record.
- No separate scholarship application is required. Eligible students are automatically considered for the scholarship when they submit their university application.
3. Deakin International Merit Scholarship
Scholarship value: 20% tuition fee reduction
Study level: Undergraduate or postgraduate
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to Thai students applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate program at Deakin University and commencing their studies in 2027.
- Applicants must have a strong academic record.
- Some Health-related programs are excluded from this scholarship, including Medicine, Psychology, Nursing, and Occupational Therapy. Students can contact the One Education team to check whether their chosen program is eligible.
- No separate scholarship application is required. Eligible students are automatically considered when they submit their university application.
4. Deakin College Foundation Pathway Scholarship
Scholarship value: 10% tuition fee reduction
Study level: Undergraduate
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to Thai students who have completed a Foundation program at Deakin College and achieved the academic results required by the university.
- Students must progress to an undergraduate degree at Deakin University in 2027.
- The scholarship provides a tuition fee reduction for undergraduate programs.
- Students cannot receive another Deakin University scholarship at the same time.
- No separate scholarship application is required. Eligible students are automatically considered.
5. Southeast Asia Priority Bursary
Scholarship value: Up to AUD 2,000 as a one-off payment
Study level: Undergraduate and postgraduate
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to citizens of Thailand and other eligible Southeast Asian countries.
- Open to new students applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate program at Deakin University in 2027.
- Students must receive and accept an Offer from the university:
- AUD 2,000 if the Firm Offer is accepted within 2 weeks.
- AUD 1,500 if the Offer is accepted within 4 weeks.
- Students cannot receive another Deakin University scholarship at the same time.
- Not available to Deakin College and DUELI Transfer Students.
- No separate scholarship application is required. Eligible students are automatically considered.
