University of Westminster
University of Westminster was founded in 1838 as the first royal chartered polytechnic in London, officially granted its charter in August 1839, and became the University of Westminster in 1992. With over 180 years of history, it is one of the oldest universities in the United Kingdom. The university is patronized by Queen Elizabeth II and is widely recognized for its teaching excellence, highly skilled staff, and world-class research, attracting both local and international students.
Currently, the university has over 22,000 students from more than 169 countries, making it one of the 15 most international universities in the world, according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Location
The University of Westminster is located in Zone 1, London, with four campuses: three in central London – Cavendish, Marylebone, and Regent – and one in Harrow, just a 20-minute train ride from central London.
The central London campuses are near famous landmarks such as Oxford Street, Marble Arch, Madame Tussaud’s, Regent’s Park, BBC, and the British Library. London, as a major global city and one of Europe’s largest financial hubs, is easily accessible from Heathrow Airport, either via the Heathrow Express (15 minutes to central London) or by underground train (Tube), which takes approximately 45 minutes.
