University of Reading
Founded in 1892 as an extension college for the University of Oxford, the University of Reading gained its Royal Charter in 1926 and is now a leading UK university (31st overall in the Times University Guide 2021) and home to approximately 17,000 students. Its Henley Business School holds triple-accredited status, while publications often rank it within the world’s top 50 business schools. There are a wide range of programs available from the pure and applied sciences to languages, humanities, social sciences, business and the arts. New research is relayed into teaching, with academic staff at the forefront of their fields of expertise.
The University provide student accommodation within their beautiful parkland campus, Whiteknights, winning the Green Flag Award for the top university green space in the UK for the 9th consecutive year in 2019. The main Whiteknights campus and London Road campus are situated close to Reading’s town centre and are just 30 minutes from London Paddington by train. Reading is a lively city and known across Europe for hosting one of the biggest annual music festivals.
