The University of Kent is located in Canterbury, Kent. Awarded Gold in the UK Government’s Teaching Excellence Framework, the university offers outstanding teaching, world-leading research (97% of Kent’s research was judged to be of international quality in the Research Excellence Framework), safe and welcoming study locations to provide an excellent student experience. The student population at Kent has approximately 15,000 undergraduate and 4,000 postgraduate students, international students make up 22% of the total population, representing over 150 nationalities. The university is divided into three faculties (Humanities, Sciences, Social Sciences) which are further organized into 20 schools
Kent’s main campus is in an area of parkland overlooking the historic city of Canterbury in Kent, additionally, the University has sites in Medway and Tonbridge. At the Canterbury campus, most rooms are en suite and many offer catering options, while all postgraduate rooms are en suite and self-catered. Kent is close to London and Europe (channel tunnel in Dover) which is a major attraction to international students seeking great access to European cities.
