University of Brighton 

The University of Brighton, located along the eastern coast of England in the city of Brighton & Hove, traces its origins to an arts school established in 1859. Since then, it has evolved into a diverse and dynamic British university. Today, it serves approximately 18,000 students and employs 2,400 staff across its four campuses in Brighton and Eastbourne. 

Throughout its history, the University of Brighton has pursued a mission rooted in social purpose. It is committed to providing services that strengthen society, support the economy, and equip graduates with the skills needed to excel in their professions and contribute meaningfully to their communities. 

Campuses 

The University of Brighton has four campuses: 

  • Moulsecoomb Campus 

The University of Brighton’s main and largest campus hosts several key academic schools, including the School of Business and Law, the School of Architecture, Technology and Engineering, the School of Applied Sciences, and the School of Art and Media. The campus features state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories designed to support both students and staff. These include advanced driving and airplane simulators, stock trading rooms, game studios, and a digital media suite. Additionally, the campus is home to Elm House, a modern academic building that serves as a hub for students of the School of Business and Law. 

  • City Campus 

Located in the heart of Brighton’s vibrant cultural district, just steps away from the beach and pier, this campus serves as a creative hub for arts students. It provides an inspiring environment for those studying disciplines such as 3D Design and Craft, Fine Art, Graphic Design & Illustration, Digital Music, Digital Media Design, Fashion and Textiles, History of Art and Design, Humanities, Media and Photography & Film. 

  • Falmer Campus 

Located next to the South Downs National Park and just four miles from Brighton city centre, this campus provides a serene and inspiring environment for students from the School of Education, the School of Sport and Health Sciences, and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. The campus also features the Curriculum Centre, a state-of-the-art learning facility equipped with laboratories and simulation rooms designed to support education and health students in their practical training. 

  • Eastbourne Campus  

Situated in the Meads area of Eastbourne, this campus is dedicated to students pursuing degrees in Sport and Exercise, Events, Hospitality, Physical Education, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, and Tourism. It offers a wide range of specialized facilities, including Exercise Physiology Laboratories, Clinical Simulation Suites, a Human Movement Lab, the Leaf Hospital Podiatric Clinic, an artificial outdoor pitch, and a 25-meter swimming pool, ensuring students have access to top-tier resources for both academic and practical learning. 

The University of Brighton is committed to community access and engagement. There are many activities and facilities available to local residents. There is a learning center, Wifi, gym, library, art gallery, Sallis Benney Theater and SouthCoast meeting rooms.
