Goldsmiths, University of London
The university has been part of the world-renowned University of London for over 100 years; when students graduate from Goldsmiths, they also graduate from the University of London. Prior to becoming part of the University of London in 1904, Goldsmiths was founded in 1891. This famous arts and social sciences university based in south-east London has several high performing departments, Anthropology is considered one of the best in Europe and the Art department is recognised as one of Britain’s best, often ranking top five in the UK across all Art categories.
The main campus at New Cross is arranged around an open green space; the campus features an original building dating back to 1844 and several modern departmental buildings. The area has fantastic transport links but there’s no need to travel too far, this single-site campus is where all the lectures and seminars take place, and it’s where students access key facilities including the Library and Careers Service. Across the campus you’ll hear music students practising and see others installing exhibitions, this is an inspiring campus with great energy.
