Brunel University London was named after the Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel. The University was founded in 1966, today it is organised into three colleges – engineering, design and physical Sciences; business, arts and social sciences; and health and life sciences. The University has several research institutes, including: energy futures and environment; health and societies; and materials and manufacturing.

The campus contains all facilities including the halls of residence, social and sports facilities, lecture theatres and the library. Within close proximity of the campus are additional University sports facilities, a short walk/bus journey will take you to the city centre of Uxbridge which links the University to London with the underground station. A short drive to Heathrow airport, Brunel is a very well-connected place to live and study.
