Bournemouth University (BU) is located in the seaside town of Bournemouth, on England’s south coast. Bournemouth is a clean town and considered a safe place to live, while the beautiful beaches make it a popular holiday destination.
There are two campuses: the majority of the university’s faculties and facilities are found on Talbot Campus with the exception of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences which is located at Lansdowne Campus. International students number around 2,000 out of an approximate total of 16,000 students.
BU offers more than 150 undergraduate degrees and over 100 master’s degrees, the university has a focus on academic excellence and graduate employability. There are four faculties offering degrees in creative, technological, scientific and humanities specialisms. Students are known to progress into some of the most exciting careers, such as Computer Animation & Visual Effects, Media Production & Communication, Forensic & Archaeology, Sports & Events Management, History, International Business and Management, Politics & Social Studies.
Bournemouth University guarantees accommodation to all international students for September entry, as long as students meet the application deadline. There are nine halls of residence, all with en-suite bathrooms, and some with studio apartments available.
