Please tell us about yourself – what course and institute did you study before going to the UK?
Before coming to the UK, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Kasetsart University.

Why did you choose to study in the UK?
I wanted to improve my English skills, as English is required for presentations and communication at work.

Why did you choose this institute and what is your memorable experience at the institute?
I chose English in Chester because there are relatively few Thai students compared to other cities. Chester is a small city in the north of England. While it may not have many shopping centres, it is very safe and beautiful.

Because there are fewer Thai students, I was able to fully immerse myself in English and use it all the time. The class sizes are small, which allowed me to speak and practise English a lot. The teachers are very kind and always try to incorporate activities and topics that interest us to help improve our language skills.

Even though it is a small city, there are still Thai restaurants, which is nice when you feel homesick. Every week, the school organises activities for students from different classes to join together, so we can meet new people.

What impressed me the most was how supportive and kind the teachers and staff were. I also had the opportunity to meet friends from many different countries, learn about new cultures, and enjoy activities together.

Why did you choose this course?
I chose the General English course because I wanted to improve my English, especially my speaking skills.

How will your degree help your future career after graduation?
English is essential in almost every workplace. Being able to speak fluently or as close to a native speaker as possible gives you the confidence to communicate and express your opinions without fear.

In addition, speaking and listening skills go hand in hand, and both are extremely important in a professional environment.

What did you like the most about our service and your counsellor?
One Education provided guidance on how I could best improve my English. During COVID, they helped me defer my university offer. After completing my university pre-sessional course, I felt that I was not yet ready and wanted to improve my English further.

One Education supported me by arranging my studies and preparing all necessary documents, including those for the school and visa, so I could continue improving before starting my Master’s degree. Later, when I decided to change my university plans and study here instead, they handled the entire application and documentation process.

They also gave helpful advice on adjusting to life in the UK and ensured everything was well prepared. Even after I arrived, they checked in to see how I was doing and whether I needed any support. Overall, they were incredibly kind and supportive.
