Course: Bachelor of Commerce/Law

Institution: UNSW Sydney

Please tell us about yourself – what course and institute did you study before going to Australia?

My name is Leon. I am currently studying a joint programme in Commerce and Law at UNSW Sydney. Before this, I graduated from Rugby School Thailand.

Why did you choose to study in Australia?

Initially, I did not plan to study in Australia. I first applied to universities in the UK, but I felt that it was not quite the right fit for me. During my gap year, I took time to carefully consider my options. After researching various factors, including course content, especially in Law, and lifestyle, I decided that Australia was the best choice for me.

Why did you choose this institute and what is your memorable experience at the institute?

I chose UNSW Sydney for several reasons, but the most important was that the course content matched what I was looking for. The university also provides strong student support services, and Australia’s international community makes it easier for international students to adapt.

Why did you choose this course?

I chose the Bachelor of Commerce and Law because I have always been interested in the legal system and how it works, and I wanted to deepen my understanding of it. At the same time, I am also interested in Commerce. This joint degree allows me to study both areas within one programme, giving me a broader skill set and an advantage when applying for jobs in the future.

How will your degree help your future career after graduation?

I am planning to pursue a career as either a lawyer or an investment banker. This programme provides a strong foundation for both career paths. In addition, UNSW Sydney offers interactive legal training and alumni events, which I believe will be very beneficial for my future career.

What did you like the most about our service and your counsellor?

P’Mind from One Education helped me a great deal. I was not familiar with the Australian application system, as I only knew about the UCAS system in the UK. She guided me through every step of the process, and it made a huge difference to have someone clearly explain what needed to be done. Thanks to her support, I was able to successfully pursue my studies in Australia. It truly made the entire process much easier and more manageable.
