Please tell us about yourself – what course and institute did you study before going to the UK?
Hello, my name is Aung Aing and I’m 18 years old. Before coming to the UK, I studied at Kajonkietsuksa School in Phuket. I was in the English-Maths programme, and my school also focused on business subjects as part of the main curriculum.

Why did you choose to study in the UK?
Originally, I planned to study in Australia, but due to some circumstances, I decided to switch to the UK. However, I didn’t mind at all, as I had always wanted to study here anyway. I wanted to experience life in the UK, get used to the British accent, and gain new experiences abroad.

Why did you choose this university and what is your memorable experience at the university?
I chose University of Surrey because it is located close to the city centre. After learning more about the university, I felt even more confident in my decision. There are so many activities to take part in—not just studying, but gaining a wide range of experiences. The overall environment is also really nice and supportive.

Why did you choose this course?
I chose to study Foundation Business because it is a required pathway before starting a bachelor’s degree here. It is similar to a foundation course in Thailand, but here the subjects include Business, Economics, Law, and Social Sciences.

How will your degree help your future career after graduation?
It will help me a lot because I am studying in the field that I want to pursue as a career. This makes it much easier for me to work towards achieving my goals.

What did you like the most about our service and your counsellor?
