The South-East covers a large geographical area and with the close proximity to London this region has plenty of economic hubs and is well connected to the major airports, it’s also the most populous region in the UK.

In terms of the geographical split there is an easy way to separate the Universities – those located by the seaside and those in cities closer to London. If you’re looking for a University close to the beach there are lots of options here; Bournemouth University, University of Portsmouth, University of Southampton (Ranked 15th in the UK, Times 2021), University of Sussex (Top 200 in the World, Times World rankings, 2021), University of Kent. Further inland and closer to London you’ll find the University of Surrey (Top 300 Universitas in the World, QS 2021), University of Reading (31st in the UK, Times 2021), Cranfield University (QS Masters in Management 2021, 26th in the World), Oxford Brookes University.
